Experiment. Greenlights and the Gentlemen

During my last bike rides I listened to the audiobook Greenlights. This is an autobiography of Matthew McConaughey.

The idea from me was to read an autobiography of an actor/actress and then watch a movie with him/her. Why? Just an experiment for me. Will I see a film with another eyes?

In his autobiography he described how he became a person who he is now. He spoke about his childhood, becoming a men, his adventures in Australia, his study, his life, his feelings, his thoughts, his ideas and how he see the world. I really enjoyed his story.

Now was the time to watch a movie. I choose “The Gentlemen” and… it was a good choice.

Like the wave-particle duality: I saw a person and the mind was switching between a person who told me the story of his life and a person which he was playing as an actor. Funny feeling. I think I will repeat it sometime with another actor/actress.

Which experiments are doing? Do you enjoy them?

P.S.: At the begin I did not check that the book was spoken also by him 🙈. I thought: wow the spokesman is really emotional.
