How big is Safaricom in comparison to Airtel Africa?

I hope while you are reading this you are safe and pretty much sane considering the situation this pandemic has put us in.

So I decided to do some quick analysis to validate some of my thoughts, I threw in Vodacom Tanzania Plc as part of this comparison.

COMMENTARY

I’ve summarized my commentary in bullet points below:

•Safaricom’s service revenue is 67% of Airtel Africa’s entire revenue.

•Safaricom’s net profit is 68% greater than Airtel Africa’s.

•Airtel data revenue contributed 26.88% to its total revenue , Mobile money contributing 8.99%.
