One of the most drastic changes in my life was the moment the pregnancy test gave me a positive result: I was pregnant.

I could not believe it. But after another five tests, giving me the same result, I had to at least consider that I just might be pregnant. Maybe.

So I made an appointment with the doctor and he congratulated me for being pregnant. Which I still did not take seriously, until his assistant tested my urine and got a positive result.

That was the moment panic stroke: Now what?

Well, the nice doctor suggested that just maybe, I should tell the daddy about it.

Then he gave me a list of things to take care of.

Then one day I woke up and found out — that I had no fitting clothes for myself anymore. And had to borrow my man’s pants for a couple of days, until I got clothes that fitted my growing stomach.

From the moment I found out that I was pregnant, my eating habits changed.

Morning sickness started early on and lasted almost my entire pregnancy. It was hard until I found something that worked for me:

*Dry cookies

*Water

I would keep these things next to my bed at all times.

As time went by, I ended up quitting my job, and by the doctor’s order: had to stay in bed for a couple of months.

It was challenging, but I had my books and other hobbies, to keep me occupied.

Then one day, it started at 5 am. I woke up with pain in my back. First I tried to get back to sleep, just to wake up again. With more back pain.
