The Policy Lab has an immediate opportunity for a University of Melbourne student to work as a casual research assistant from September to November 2017.

Project description: We are seeking a research assistant with strong quantitative skills to collate and analyse survey data on political and institutional trust. The applicant must have skills in sourcing, collating and analysing survey and other data, including the ability to combine data sources. Expertise in Microsoft Excel (including data visualisation) AND expertise in either SPSS or Stata (preferably Stata) required (including data visualisation). Demonstrated proficiency in handling survey data such as the World Values Survey also desired.

Hours: approximately 40 hours (after a 5 hour paid trial period) between Sep-Nov 2017. The pay rate is $40.87 per hour.

Applicants must be currently enrolled at The University of Melbourne and eligible to work in Australia.
