PathDAO partners with Playermon to help both creators and players earn in the blockchain gaming industry

PathDAO joins StarSailor to free Playermons from the evil crutches of the Anchorland Mining Company. In a collaborative effort, PathDAO and Playermon will bring opportunities for digital creators and players alike to earn in the metaverse. PathDAO have participated in the private round of Playermon and will continue to grow assets and player community once the game goes live in Q4 2021.

Playermon is an NFT game with initial Axie-esque turn-based card gameplay built on Polygon. Pre-battle, players are required to choose 3 Playermons and position them strategically. Random ability cards are given to each player at the start of each turn. Afterwards, players will have to choose action cards for their Playermons. But they should keep in mind that each action card will cost an action point which is a limited resource. The player will be victorious once the opponent has no standing Playermon left. The winner will gain SpaceGEM (SGEM) and the Playermons will gain experiences.

Tamagotchi style caring

After purchasing and incubating eggs for a certain amount of time, players need to take care of their young Playermons by petting them (e.g. brushing, bathing, and feeding them). Every time they complete this daily quest, they will earn “Love Points” which will benefit the players as the game features are improved and developed. Aside from that, the Playermons will also earn experience and gain rewards until they reach adulthood to start participating in different battle modes.

Planetary gameplay

Playermon Planet platform provides another extensive gateway to creators and artists to publish their diverse games in playermon ecosystem. It’s objective is to be an integrated social platform for GameFi creators to launch mini-games in the Playermon universe, leveraging SGem distribution and PYM.

Not all planets are created equal, some are more resourceful than others and some might contain underground dungeons for the player to explore. Planet owners can invite their scholars and other players to explore their planet and mine for resources.

Cross-planet exploration is also doable, albeit with an interplanetary scanner. To build an interplanetary scanner, players need to explore planets or complete missions to collect items that are required in crafting it. If they want to own it without going through the hassles, they can purchase them at Radix (marketplace).

Empowering digital artists

Creators can contribute to the Playermon ecosystem through the design of customized assets and monetised them in the marketplace. Think of the likes of Dota2 and CSGO skin creators, creating an additional layer of aesthetics onto the original game while also being able to earn from their works.

$PYM and $SGEM at the heart of Playermon

$PYM token is the governance token of Playermon that is utilised for purchase of NFT assets on the marketplace, breed, upgrade items.

$SGEM is the gaming token where the supply is indefinite and rewards players in game for their wins. Burning mechanisms of $SGEM involve crafting, breeding, upgrading items, and purchase of non-NFT in game assets.

Being one of the earlier NFT games produced in Malaysia, Playermon and PathDAO founders share a common passion to grow the metaverse space in Malaysia and well beyond. The focus of the partnership will be about bridging our communities and growing one together that enjoys playing in this ecosystem. Also, providing an entry point for local 3D artist to build game assets would help catapult more artist into the NFT ecosystem.
