I have a busy mind.

Just take a look at my Medium articles. I write about everything from dating to crypto to spirituality to office life etc……

During my waking hours, my brain is buzzing, multi-tasking and absorbing everything life has to offer.

If I told you I do this all with a solid 8 hours of sleep you wouldn’t believe me. Then if I told you I meditate for over an hour each night you’d think I was crazy.

Yet this is me and my brain.

Everyone can meditate — its limiting beliefs that hold us back.

Here’s a guide that will take you from amateur to monk status — not a real Monk but close enough to cultivate peace of mind.

I’ve been meditating on and off for over 20 years and I didn’t jump out of the womb into hour-long meditations overnight.

I’ve experimented with many different types to get to this stage. I’ve watched candle flames flicker, shouted ‘Om’ until I was gasping for air and engaged in deep breathing techniques which made me sound like an animal lost in the wild.

Go with what feels right. If it feels uncomfortable then it’s probably not right for you. Don’t get hung up on it, move on and find a different meditation technique.

There are many out there; silent meditations, guided meditations, walking meditations. Choosing one over the other makes no difference — it just means you’ve found what works for you.
